Climate communication on Social Media for municipalities

NRW.Energy4Climate supports municipalities, districts, district governments and partner organisations in implementing climate protection campaigns. Within their services, all necessary foundations for professional information campaigns are provided in order to reach citizens – and if necessary, also businesses.
We developed a concept for NRW.Energy4Climate to spread the already existing NRW.Klimakampagne, their own climate campaign, on Social Media with the help of municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to a detailed “How to Social Media”-guide and Social Media-templates that are adaptable for municipalities, partaking municipalities were also able to participate in a series of workshops conducted by tippingpoints, introducing them to the world of climate communication on Social Media. This has empowered employees in municipalities to independently implement climate communication on Social Media and tailor their channels to their individual communication needs.
